Dr. Clarke promotes psychological well-being and teaches core mental skills for her clients to perform at their best when it matters most. As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), Dr. Clarke collaborates with her clients to design a personalized program to enhance their performance. After becoming fully engaged in the plan and approach, both the client and consultant share the responsibility for outcomes and success.

Meet Dr. Cynthia Clarke
Dr. Clarke is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and educator who provides sports and performance psychology skills training (also known as mental skills training or mental coaching), personal life coaching and consulting; to athletes, performing artists, creative artists, corporate leaders, high-stakes professionals, and sports teams. She earned a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology and Master of Arts in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Argosy University. Dr. Clarke also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the California State University of Northridge. She utilizes psychological strategies and mental tools to provide her clients with a customized approach to enhance their quality and consistency in performance.
Dr. Clarke has over 12 years of experience in providing mental skills training to athletes, performers, and high-stake professionals. She was the Sport Psychology (CMPC) Consultant for the Whittier College Ladies Volleyball and Track and Field Team from 2010-2012.
In 2017, Dr. Clarke was awarded a community grant through Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) to provide mental skills training. She designed, facilitated mental skills training in an 8-week Summer Youth Basketball Camp through the Drew League Foundation in Los Angeles, California. She also led a team of mental skills coaches to deliver weekly mental skills sessions designed specifically for girls and boys participating in the basketball training camp.
Dr. Clarke has presented on various platforms as a sport and performance psychology expert. Presently, she serves as a Mental Performance Expert for Voices in Sport (VIS) providing mental skills consulting and education to all levels of female athletes. In 2019 presented at the Annual National Strength and Conditioning Association Conference (NSCA) on the impact of the use mental skills for prevention of athlete’s burnout.
In 2019-2021, Dr. Clarke led a team of Cognitive Performance Coaches at Los Angeles Airport where she and the team delivered Cognitive Enhancement Training under the US Department of Homeland Security to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Officers. They taught over 600 TSA officers mental skills training for high performance.
Dr. Clarke is the Department Chair of General Education at AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts where she has taught Performance Psychology and Health & Wellness classes to performing artists for the past 10 years.
Dr. Clarke resides in Los Angeles California where she enjoys LA culture during free time by attending live concerts and sporting events. On the weekends she stays physically active by taking long walks or bike rides at the beach.

Dr. Clarke has been a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), certified by the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) for 11 years. She has been an active member in AASP for over 12 years. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Sport and Exercise Division 47.
Dr. Clarke is also a Certified Professional Personal Trainer (CPT) with the American Council of Exercise with over 30 years of experience working in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer. As a CPT, she specializes in athletic conditioning, weight loss, marathon running, track and field, softball, volleyball, basketball, and various other sports.
